Ann Curry
Ann Curry was born in the United States and is a photographer and journalist. For more than forty-five years she has focused her work on reporting human suffering, primarily when natural catastrophes or war are occurring. Curry has written about the conflicts in Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo and the Central African Republic. Ann Curry (born on November 19th, 1956 in the city of the city of Agana) is an American anchor, reporter on television as well as a journalist. Curry was best known as a correspondent on the Today Show, a daily morning newscast produced by the National Broadcasting Co. Curry was well-known for the reporting she did on natural catastrophes and war broken nations. Curry was born in Japan and raised by a Japanese mother. Her father served as an U.S. Navy sailor. Her mother was working alongside her father in Japan after World War II. Family members were constantly in and out of the country due to the service of her dad in the military. Curry went to high school in Ashland, Oregon. In the end, University of Oregon awarded her a bachelor of arts in journalism. Then, she was an anchor/reporter for KGW at Portland Oregon. She moved back in Los Angeles four years later to work as a reporter for KCBS TV. Two Emmy Awards were won during the six years she worked for the KCBS-TV.
